![]() I currently have a really lightweight headphone that barely puts that much pressure inwards on my head, but i get a headache & get dizzy after just around 20 minutes of use. I tried on my friend’s headset at his house once and it gave me such a headache after about 5 mins, while he says that it hurts for him only after many hours of use. In ear earbuds, Airpods Pro, heavy and lightweight headphones, anything just gives me a headache after a short time. Everything i’ve tried except for the original Apple Airpods & earbuds make my head hurt or make me dizzy. Past gear experience: I’ve only used no-brand headphones, Apple Airpods & earbuds, Beats in-ears, and some random earbuds. I will be needing a mic, but it doesn’t need to be like those mics on gaming headsets or anything, it could be just one of those attached on the cable. Would be nice to have bluetooth if I wanted to wear it out and about, but absolutely not the first priority. How the gear will be used: Just for at-home everyday video watching, music listening, and gaming. Will buy a headphone jack splitter if necessary, as I need use of both mic & audio. If there’s a super great one, I’d be open to consider spending more. Hi r/headphoneadvice! I’m completely new here and don’t really know much of anything, so please bear with me :) Thank you! (I also flaired the post with just closed-back headphones, because I had to have a single flair, but I'm open to all options).īudget: Under $100, hopefully under $50 but i know mostly? that’s not possible. We have people from the GoPro team on this subreddit. Is it simply a matter of economics? Maybe some dude in a suit figured they could widen their profit margins by cutting corners, relying on marketing and market share to push units. We've been desperate for a better solution than the old 3.5mm dongle. I just don't understand why GoPro would do this to such an important product. The built in mic is better! What's the point? What's crazy is that some gopro fans are attempting to deny reality by saying it doesn't sound that bad. If the audio was even decent, just decent, I'd buy a Hero 8 and the Media Mod tomorrow. There are PLENTY of $15-30 microphones that sound much, much better than the Media Mod. ![]() He makes the best videos for comparing this kind of stuff.īut yeah, extremely bummed out with the audio quality.
